We at Driving Sensation are dedicated to helping you and your family to enjoy your special day in a safe but fun environment. We will supply you with the best suitable cars and expert instructors available for your expereience whilst also delivering value for money.

Your committment to us:

You must take your experience within the 10 months date of the voucher. Advance booking is required. We usually need at least 3 weeks notice, more in peak times. Once you confirm your experience date, we reserve the car and instructor for that day. If you later wish to cancel you will be in breach of contract and therefore we are entitled to retain any monies paid. By calling our booking line on 0844 335 0378 up to 3 weeks prior to the event it may be possible to move your experience to another date subject to a £30 administration fee. Please leave plenty of time for your journey to the circuit and arrive 30 mins before your experience is due to start. Once you arrive at the circuit you will be asked to sign a Participant Declaration form which asks you to confirm that you are fit and able to participate in the chosen activity and that you hold a current driving licence which entitles you to drive in the UK. You must also produce the voucher which entitles you to the experience (unless already sent to us earlier by post).

Delivery:

Once your experience is paid for your confirmation letter and voucher will be sent to you by Royal Mail First class post. Please allow 7 days for delivery at peak times.

Refunds:

Driving Sensation is happy to offer a refund within 7 days of purchase on experiences to be taken at our York and Teesside venues subject to an administration charge of £30 on return of the voucher purchased. After 7 days no refund will be available although you may be able to transfer your experience to a different date with more than 3 weeks notice, subject to a £30 administration fee.

Adverse weather conditions:

Sometimes due to reasons beyond our control (eg. adverse weather conditions) we may have to cancel or suspend certain experiences on safety grounds. If this happens we will make every effort to run the experience later that day or on the next available day. We will contact you on the telephone number you provide to inform you of any events being cancelled. Driving Sensation can not be held responsible for any costs incurred in the way of travel/accomodation.

Mechanical breakdown:

Sometimes due to reasons beyond our control (eg.mechanical breakdown) we may have to cancel or suspend your activity. If this happens every effort will be made to fix the problem as soon as possible and continue the experience. If this is not possible an alternative experience on that day will be offered or we will re book you in on the next available day.

Prices and description of activities:

All prices and descriptions of experiences are correct at the time of going to press but Driving Sensation reserve the right to increase or decrease prices at their discretion. This will not affect the use of any vouchers already purchased (eg, a Ferrari Experience voucher is still valid for a Ferrari experience regardless of any subsequent change in price)

Height/ weight restrictions:

As a guideline we suggest all drivers should be a maximum of 6ft 4 ins tall and weigh no more than 18.5 stones.

Participant decleration form:

(All drivers must sign this on arrival before taking part in the event) I agree to take part in the above activity which I understand can be dangerous. I agree to keep indemnified Driving Sensation, their officials, instructors, representatives and agents and any other persons using the facility, from claims of damage to property or myself or passengers however caused. I declare to the best of my knowledge and belief I possess the standard of competence necessary for this activity. 

I declare to the best of my knowledge and belief I am physically able to participate in the activity and I do not suffer from any permanent or temporary illness or disability that may affect my ability to take part. I am not currently taking drugs which may interfere with my ability to take part in this activity, and I am not under the influence of alcohol. I will not consume any alcohol from the time I sign this form until the completion of my activity.

I accept that no claim can be made against Driving Sensation in respect of the unavailability of the circuit for whatever reason.

I agree to listen to the briefing and all instructions given by my instructor and act on the advice given to me. I understand that accidents can happen which may be caused by my driving, which could result in me being liable for the first £1000 of damage. I understand that opting for the accidental damage waiver at £20 will exempt me from liability for the cost of repairs unless the cause of damage is deemed to be deliberate or due to reckless driving in which case I would be liable for the damage caused.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome to attend but young children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No dogs are permitted (except guide dogs). There is a cafe and a licensed bar available at Teesside Autodrome (Bar strictly for non participants) and there will be pay on the day activities available (eg. passenger laps)

Pictures and description:

Photographs used in all promotional activities are to illustrate each experience. The exact cars are subject to availability. (eg. First Drive is does not always take place in a mini, we also use Renault Clio, Fiesta Zetec, and corsa etc as described on the First Drive page)

Catering:

Teesside Autodrome. There is a cafe which serves tea/coffee and light snacks such as chips and burgers. There is also a licensed bar (available only to non drivers). At Elvington there is a burger/ refreshments van.

Clothing:

Please come prepared for all types of weather. Drivers please wear sensible flat soled narrow footwear as the pedals in some of the cars are very close together. Helmets will be provided.

Seasonal:

Due to the weather our Driving experiences are run from the beginning of March until November each year.

Lost vouchers:

We can supply a replacement if your gift voucher is lost for an admin fee of £30.00.

Drivers name changes:

The gift voucher can be transferred to a different driver for an admin fee of £30-00.

Extensions:

You can extend your voucher for a fee of £30.00 for 3 months, but you must call within the 10 months validity of the voucher. We cannot extend any voucher that has expired.

Rally driving, Rockingham, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire:

As these experiences are run at a different venue, once you have booked a date and time for your experience you then agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the venue.
